3view Privacy Policy

The 3view Privacy Policy sets out details of what information we collect about you, how we keep it and what we do with it. This Privacy Policy forms part of the 3view Terms and Conditions which can be seen at http://www.3view.com/Home.aspx which have to be accepted before you can register to use the 3view Services and Acquire and Access Content. Many of the words used in this Privacy Policy are defined in the 3view Terms and Conditions. We comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Like our Terms and Conditions of which this Privacy Policy forms a part, this Privacy Policy may be changed without notice to you at any time. Information that we collect

We collect the IP (Internet Protocol) address of your computer when you visit the Web Site. We normally collect Your name, address, e-mail address, telephone and/or mobile phone numbers and credit / debit card details for the purposes of completing your order.

Why We Collect Information about You and what We use it for

We collect information as part of Your Registration so that we can identify you and Your 3view Set Top Box, link Your Set Top Box to your My3view Account and communicate with You and Your 3view Set Top Box. We collect IP addresses to enable us to record use of our web site.

This information can also assist us to develop and improve the web site and to keep the operating software or firmware for your 3view Set Top Box up to date.

We also collect information on how you use the 3view Web Site and 3view Services and on what and when you acquire and access content to enable us to provide you with better 3view services.

Collecting this information from you makes it possible for us to have a better understanding of how we can improve our 3view services to better meet your needs.

Security

We use reasonable commercial efforts to retain all the information we collect in confidence and to avoid any inadvertent release of that information. The information is stored securely in the United Kingdom and European Economic Area and is not held or processed outside the European Economic Area. Should we wish to hold or process the information we hold about you outside the European Economic Area in future we will only do so if the Data Processor concerned is reputable and agrees to be bound by the same rules applicable in the European Economic Area in relation to Data Protection.

All Card, Password and/or PIN information shall be maintained using at least 128-bit encryption algorithm while stored in our or our agent’s database.

We will never ask you for your password and/or PIN Number in calls (if any) we make to you. Where you call us we may ask for parts of your Password and/or PIN to verify your identity but we will NEVER ask for your entire Password and/or PIN.

We will never ask you for your Password and/or PIN Number in e-mails (if any) we send to you. The only correct Web Site address is http://www.3view.com/Home.aspx to access your account at 3view.
